Shadow Mountain Estates Home

This homeowner was out-of-state during the entire building process. He was a major factor in the buliding timeline and pleasant process, due to his quick decisions and continual availability.

Sitka logs, timber frame, and insulated concrete walls were incorporated to create this energy-efficient, green-built hybrid home.

1/2 logs, complete with chinking, were used as siding.

Logs were hollowed and fit together over exposed TJIs and posts.

50-year shingles, drip edge, metal-wrapped doors and window bucks, stone wanscote, and larger overhangs help to protect the exterior logs from weather and lowers maintenances, thus being green.
